When was the last time that you received a handwritten letter?

I got another greeting card and together with it was a handwritten letter. It’s different from the card that I received days ago. This one came from a very important person in my life. I would just like to share because I’m totally overwhelmed.
A couple of days ago my little sister checked on the mailboxes for both my Kuya Karl’s wife and ours. As usual, it’s filled with overflowing love letters from Karl to his wife and baby. I wasn’t expecting at all that I will get one too. So, it was really a surprise for me.
But there was something so strange about it. The card was dated last year, and the letter too. The date was during one of the darkest times I had in my life. Here is a part of the said letter..

I am writing you a letter because I can’t contain the feeling of loneliness and longing anymore. Don’t worry, I don’t expect you to write me back. Even though you keep on pushing me away, I just want you to know, that I’m still here. I’ll always be here as I’ve promised. It doesn’t matter how far apart we are right now, for you’re the only one that I hold closest to my heart.
I know that we always end up arguing, but it’s not because we don’t understand each other anymore; it’s just that we feel bad that there’s nothing we can do about things right now. All we could do is be patient. I know how hard it is to wait, just like you I’m waiting for that time that I will be able to go back there………….”
